Information on the project

In this project, an automotive customer used the TOX®-System for press fitting pierce nuts into a shock absorber mounting. The challenge for this project was the special geometry of the component with partly inaccessible press-in positions. By developing special setting heads for processing of the different pierce nuts, the customer's requirements were fulfilled.

Setting heads with special geometries and integrated pneumatical slug remover
Feeding of the elements into the setting head in correct position including buffer line
Integrated sensors for checking the female threads of the functional elements
